About this book

This is a critical edition of a short text of the 15th century entitled Istoire de la Chastelaine du Vergier et de Tristan le Chevalier — a late prose version of the Chastelaine de Vergi which had enjoyed great success and was much imitated in different European literatures from the 15th to the 16th century (including the seventy nouvelles of Marguerite de Navarre’s Heptameron (1559)).
